‘FENCE’@ WATCH-OUT TETOVO FILM FESTIVAL

FENCE‘ by Lendita Zeqiraj has been selected to be the part of official selection at Watch Out! Tetovo Film Festival, to be held from 6th June – 9th Julne 2019 in Tetovo, North Macedonia.

WatchOut! Is an open air Film Festival organized by Center for Balkan Cooperation LOJA in the city of Tetovo, North Macedonia. The eighth edition of WatchOut! Film Festival will take place from 06th to 09th of June 2019.

The usual venue of the Festival for the evening screenings is the garden of the Museum of the Communist Party of Macedonia. If the weather is bad, alternative venue is the cinema space of CBC LOJA. Winners in the four competition programs will be invited to Tetovo for the Festival and receive the awards.

‘FENCE’@ SARDINIA FILM FESTIVAL

FENCE‘ by Lendita Zeqiraj has been selected to be the part of official selection at 14th edition of Sardinia Film Festival, to be held from 14th June – 7th July 2019 in Sardinia’s Sassari, Italy.

The Sardinia Film Festival‘s main aim is to promote and give value to the international independent cinematography. Festival was created in 2006 by Cineclub Sassari, which is an historical cultural association. Since 1951 this association has worked in order to promote the cinema in Sardinia. Since 2012, the Festival has received medals from the President of Italy, the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate. It also has the support from UNESCO – Italian Commission ”Farnesina”, MIBACT  –  Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, the University of Sassari.

‘FENCE’@ VALLETTA FILM FESTIVAL

FENCE‘ by Lendita Zeqiraj has been selected,  to have its Maltese Premiere at Valletta Film Festival, the biggest and most important film festival in Malta, to be held from 14th – 23rd June 2019 in smallest capital city in European Union, Valletta.

Twenty-six short films will compete in the first edition of Cinema of Small Nations Competition – Short Film section that will be held during the fifth edition of the Valletta Film Festival. Films from twelve small nations will participate in the competition including four films from Malta. The selection will be divided into four programs and will be screened at Valletta Campus Theatre. An international jury will adjudicate the films and award the Best Short Film prize.

‘FENCE’ @ BRUSSELS SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

FENCE‘ by Lendita Zeqiraj has been selected, among more than 4500 films submitted, to participate to the International Competition of the  22nd Brussels Short Film Festival, to be held from 25th April – 5th May 2019 in Belgian capital.

Brussels Short Film Festival is an exhibition intended for lovers of cinema, both audience and professionals. The purpose is to promote and circulate short films and to generate contacts between audience, young directors and professionals. Since 2018, the winner of the Great Prize of the International competition will be eligible for consideration in the Animated Short Film/ Live Action Short Film category of the Academy Awards® without the standard theatrical run, provided the film otherwise complies with the Academy rules.

‘FENCE’ @ FILMFEST DRESDEN

FENCE‘ by Lendita Zeqiraj has been selected to be the part of the international competition at  31st  FILMFEST DRESDEN International Short Film Festival, to be held from 9th – 14th April 2019 in Dresden, Germany.

FILMFEST DRESDEN was founded in 1989 before the imminent collapse of the GDR and reunification of Germany. The short film festival focuses on short film in all its facets, and has become one of the most important festivals of its kind throughout Germany. FILMFEST DRESDEN is also one of the best endowed short film festivals in Europe with prizes and awards worth €67,000. By now, FILMFEST DRESDEN awards each year prizes worth €67,000, and attracts around 20,000 international and national visitors, including 550 professionals. Since 2017, the festival has also become more and more accessible: each year, several competition programmes are screened with audio description for the visually impaired and extended German subtitles for people with hearing impairment in order to make the festival accessible to these target groups. Additionally, the subsequent film discussions as well as the opening and awards ceremony are accompanied and translated by German sign language interpreters. The festival team is also supported by a specially founded advisory board, “Cinema without barriers”. Thus, FILMFEST DRESDEN is taking on a pioneering role among German film festivals in terms of accessibility and inclusion.

‘FENCE’ @ Changing Perspectives Film Festival

FENCE‘ by Lendita Zeqiraj has been selected to be the part of  7th  International Changing Perspectives Film Festival, to be held from 6th – 10th March 2019 in Istanbul, Turkey.

The International Changing Perspectives Short Film Festival is an international take-away film festival dealing with the topic of cultural exchange. The festival will start in Istanbul with a week program. During the year there will be other screenings in various European cities. Filmmakers will be invited and academic panel discussions on the topic of academic cultural exchange will be held. As part of  Katadrom Arts, Culture and Social Politics Association the ICPSFF also aims to stimulate artistic and cultural creativity. Its special aim is to provide a platform for young critical fimmakers who deal with the wide variation of cultural exchange.

FENCE‘ by Lendita Zeqiraj has been selected to be the part of  14th  Central and Eastern European Film Festival (A l’Est du Nouveau), to be held from 26th February – 5th March 2019 in Rouen, France.

A l’Est du Nouveau has a mission to discover the latest films from Central and Eastern European countries, new and innovative films, both by their form and their content, on societies where they come from.

‘FENCE’ @ SHORT WAVES FILM FESTIVAL

FENCE‘ by Lendita Zeqiraj has been selected to be the part of International Competiton at 11th edition of Short Waves Festival 2019, to be held from 19th – 24th March 2019 in Poznan, Poland.

Short Waves Festival is a network of film events scattered around the urban space of Poznan. It’s core consists of competition screenings – a carefully put together selection of outstanding short films grouped into three categories: International Competition, Polish Competition and Dances with Camera. Short Waves Festival is also themed screening selections such as Comedy Shorts and Girl Power, focus program and innovative audiovisual events.

‘FENCE’ @ Prague Short Film Festival

FENCE‘ by Lendita Zeqiraj has been selected to be the part of International Competiton at 14th edition of Prague Short Film Festival, to be held from 23rd – 27th January 2019 in the capital of Czech Republic.

Prague Short Films Festival is organized by Film Servis Festival Karlovy Vary, organizer of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The best and most inspiring short films from all over the world head towards the Czech capital again, where they will be presented at the 14th Prague Short Films Festival. The audience will have the opportunity to watch dozens of films in traditional sections – the international competition, the overview program of current Czech cinema, the experimental films section Labo and the late night Brutal Relax Show.
