When it was founded, the Camden International Film Festival was one of the world’s only small town film festivals focused exclusively on documentary film.
Now, Camden IFF builds a unique, interdisciplinary community of filmmakers, artists, journalists, industry leaders and local audiences, forming a creative hub where stories and talent are discovered, collaborations are born, and the future of nonfiction media is shaped. It’s programs include the annual Camden International Film Festival and Points North Forum, as well as a growing suite of artist development initiatives: retreats, residencies, workshops and fellowships that nurture the careers of diverse nonfiction storytellers and help them develop a stronger artistic voice.
We are very excited to reveal that ‘FENCE‘ by Lendita Zeqiraj has been selected to be part of the 29th annual, Oscar-qualifying New Orleans Film Festival (#NOFF2018), which will take place from October 17th through October 25th, part of the most diverse line-up in the festival’s history.
After receiving a record number of 6000 submissions for the 2018 festival—an increase of over 25% from 2017—the festival’s team of programmers carefully curated a slate of 220 visionary, thought-provoking films that represent a wealth of perspectives. Entries came from 120 different countries. Overall, the directors of selected films represent 42 different nationalities.
Born in a city known for its eclectic and artistic vibrancy, the New Orleans Film Festival (NOFF) has sought out bold and passionate storytellers since 1989. It is the longest-running festival of its kind in the state of Louisiana and one of the largest film festivals in the South.
New Orleans Film Festival, has grown into an internationally respected annual event that attracts 20-25k people, 400+ filmmakers, and 240 films. It is one of the few film festivals that is Oscar-qualifying in all three Academy-accredited categories: Narrative Short, Documentary Short, and Animated Short—and it’s been recognized by MovieMaker Magazine as one of the “Top 50 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee” every year since 2012 (one of only two festivals to receive that recognition for six straight years).
‘FENCE’ will have it’s National Premiere at DOKUFEST, International Documentary and Short Film Festival, in Prizren, Kosovo.
DOKUFEST, International Documentary and Short Film Festival, is the largest film festival in Kosovo. Each year the festival brings the cinemas and improvised screening venues around historic city center of Prizren a selection of more than 200 hand picked films from around the world. The festival is known for its lively atmosphere, the amazing enthusiasm that grasps the city and its people. Documentary photo exhibitions, debates, master classes and lively music events are also part of the 9-day festival.

The Palm Springs International ShortFest is the largest short film event in North America. A highly competitive festival, ShortFest receives 4,200± submissions from over 100 countries around the globe. Approximately 325 shorts are selected and screened in 90-minute themed programs, with many of the remaining titles available for viewing our Film Market. An Oscar®, BAFTA® and Los Premios Goya-qualifying festival, ShortFest has presented more than 100 shorts that have gone on to receive Oscar® nominations and/or awards.
